Create an Account on Snapchat

Snapchat is one of today’s most popular messaging apps, with over 100 million users per day. To get started on Snapchat you can download it from App Store or Google Play and then create an account by logging in with your phone number. Once logged in, you will be able to begin creating Snaps (photos and videos) for your friends and family to view!

What are Snapchat's Features?

Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app that allows users to take photos and videos of themselves, friends, and family, and send them to other Snapchat users. The idea behind Snapchat is that photos sent with Snapchat are only available for a limited time. This adds an element of spontaneity to chatting with people. It can also allow you to communicate with people without worrying about your image being saved or viewed by others. There are many different ways you can use Snapchat.

Privacy Settings on Snapchat

Snapchat is a lot of fun to use, but it can sometimes be tricky to keep your account safe and secure. Follow these steps for privacy settings on Snapchat. The process varies depending on your device, so refer to our Snapchat support page for links, video walkthroughs, and more information. Remember that by changing these settings you are taking precautions against being hacked or having your account stolen. Once you’ve changed your privacy settings on Snapchat, here are some tips and tricks to get you started

How To Use Filters on Snapchat

The first step is to download Snapchat to your mobile device. Once it’s installed, sign up for an account using your email address and a password of your choosing. (Be sure to use a strong password that contains letters, numbers, and symbols.)

To log in to Snapchat, tap:

  1.  Settings
  2.  Add Account

  4.  Input your login information and tap Next Step.

Sending Snaps on Snapchat

Snapchat was designed to make sending Snaps easy and fun. To send a Snap, open Snapchat, switch to camera mode (if you’re not already there), and then choose a contact or type in a name on top of your screen. Once you’ve done that, just tap on your friend’s face at which point you can take a picture or record a video. When recording video, it will run for 10 seconds unless you tap and hold down for up to 30 seconds.

Sending & Receiving Snapchats on Multiple Devices

It is possible to log into Snapchat on multiple devices, but there is a limit. Once you have set up Snapchat, you can only have one active session per device. In other words, if you’re using Snapchat on your phone and then decide to use it on your tablet later that day, you will not be able to send or receive Snapchats on both devices at once.

Getting Emojis on Snapchat

If you’re on Snapchat and would like to get emojis in your snaps, follow these steps:

1. Snap a photo or video.

2. Choose to add a caption, draw on your snap, or send it with no caption.

3. Touch and hold down on a character until an emoji pops up.

4. Touch and hold down on an emoji to make it bigger, drag to move it around (only certain emojis will let you do that).

5. You can use up to 3 different sized emojis at once!

6. To remove any of them just tap one of them - they will vanish into thin air!

7. That's all there is to it! Keep snapping away friends:-) Pssst... tell us what cool features you'd like us to cover next by leaving feedback here! Happy Snapping :)The Snapchat Support Team
